Psychotherapy | Mental Health Counseling

Jacki Jones, MHC-LP

Jacki is a Mental Health Counselor who currently sees clients virtually. She holds a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling, obtained from SUNY College at Old Westbury and received her graduate clinical training at South Shore Counseling. Her therapeutic style is an integrative approach of Psychodynamic, Relational, Mindfulness-Based CBT, and Humanistic Therapies. She feels therapy is not a “one-size-fits-all” practice. Practicing mindfulness is something she believes to be extremely beneficial in everyday life and for self-awareness; she believes such strongly promotes the journey of healing within each person. Her goal is to assist clients in their growth process and enhance coping of their current experience. Jacki strongly encourages the exploration of the “root” of issues that may impact the client, at a pace that feels natural and comfortable for them, rather than only addressing the symptoms that are present. Jacki hopes to meet the client exactly where they are in the “here-and-now” to allow the client to exercise the benefit of the authentic therapeutic relationship to better their life.
